A lot of faithless fans i know say that the last album to all new arrivals is a let down.

:no:the track music matters is superb imo, anyone over a certain age will remember secretly listening to the radio on a transister radio under the covers.

In my case it was a crystal set before my first little "braun" tranny.

"Under the sheets with my radio
Turn down low
So nobody know
It's the late night show
Hopin' to hear 'Hey Joe'
Jimi was my hero
Head blown by Type R or was it the true star?
From Dali Lama to Tanamo
Curtis Mayfield
to Kurtis Blow
Singing into my pillow
And praying I don't dose
Until my 9 Volt battery goes..":^

:yes:Music matters.

I hsd s few things by Faithless on 12" when I did a little tinkering with Djing some years ago. TBH I find it difficult to listen to them at all now. All very samey live but they seem to get the crowd going so it must just be me.

I did lol.

I gave it to one of my pupils who was a serial classroom disrupter before I took up a new post in a different school.
You should have seen his face lol......I don't think anyone had ever shown him a random act of kindness before. Great to see the hardest lad in the school well up with tears.

Faithless are a little too music by numbers for me at the mo but I may mellow to them again in a few years. I thik it's definitely music for the outdoor arena but like banging Techno (which I love) I wouldn't tolerate it in the house.

My 3 grown up offspring are always looking at me funny when they come round and catch me playing faithless M/A etc:whistle:

Once per month I take after school detention. This normally means 'welcome to your detention children.....find some quiet work to do' followed by an hour of noisy kids being grumnpy about having to stay behind.

NOT IN MY DETENTION. Muahahahahahahahah!

I've taken to variously playing them Steve Reich, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Philip Glass etc. It fries their heads.

Oddly enough the kids who are on various levels of the Autistic spectrum disorder/Aspergers syndrome seem to love it.

Anyone who can cope with blairs generation of little darlings has my :respekt:

All you gotta do is remember that you work in a factory churning out 'product'. I've stopped addressing pupils by their name and just allocate serial numbers to them.

'Good morning 27b/6....take a seat and prepare to be spoonfed the latest curricular nonsense that may or may not be of use to you'.

'garbled reply from unit 27b/6'

I reply 'Why thank you for your comments (even though I didn't ask for them) but I assure you I do know both of my parents and indeed I can also assure you that they were in fact married at the time of my conception!'

Oh yes indeedy , couple of years back at T in the Park a few of us were walking from one stage to another , waaaay at the back of the Main stages "firing "area , one bass note , hard to describe but my jeans were shaking , wtf?? Faithless had been moved from the Slam tent to the Main stage , feckin awsome , biggest party I've ever seen/heard , this would've been classic if it had been later on in the day but it was only 5.30.

Still thoroughly enjoyable tho. Luv it.:banana:even int house.:peace:
