Aye good to see you posting again woody m8.
That's some tasty gear you got there. I "acquired" the profs old TT (yep, i've sold my Linn ). The old vinyl grinder was in a tired state but got re-fettled by j7 with new springs, a herc PS and little TLC :o and got sold on.
Anyway really enjoying my choons now.
Take care m8ty.

If a person only buys a dozen or so lps a year it'll be music that'll be played and enjoyed time and time again. Buying vinyl is an experience of mind and heart. Compare to CD. How many cds has anyone bought and only played once?

woody, no show offs here mate, all of us have earned our kit on here, wether it's buying new, making it yourself, or restoring vintage kit, all does that same thing, allows each individual to enjoy thier music, and thats a good thing, and your kit looks superb, i love that armstrong tuner, proper mans radio that is, i'd like to hear some of that stuff one day.

thanks for the comments
Kenny the 2 decks are Lenco 59s circa 1962 both mounted in extremley rare Metal plinth's from the Belgian broadcasting service ,Lencos were used a lot in europe ,in particular Belguim and France being a swiss made deck I suppose that makes sense .........the green "Calrad Tone Arm" is a Mono 50s Jap tonearm ,unipivot with oil damping , for 78s and Mono LPs ,the silver arm is the Lenco 70 tonearm standard fitting on the 59/70 lenco models ,stereo arm has a spring to adjust downward force ,just what is needed as some of my cartridges need a tracking force of up to 8g
BTW the 70 tonearm was used in the 60's by the good ol BBC on thier garrard decks .dont let their look's decive you .......they are every bit as good as a Rega RB250 and can track anything from 1g too 8g
