i am wondering if i got this correct can you get two channel play back at 20 or even 24 bit on dvd disks ? prehaps i should know this , if yes then why are we bothering with the 16 cd its rubbish for the most part certianly my mates sax never sounds as crappy as most 16 recordings of the said instrument .

how about between us trying to get recordings issued via a club or something from prehaps the independant smaller labels i would pay a cost for this if thewre was enough interested we could prehaps get it going , obviously we would have to promise not to rip of the recordings but if recrdings werea really good listen then people would be happy and prehaps the companys would be able to in a small wayassured of sales , i am certianly not interested in payiNG £15 FOR REISSUE MILES ALBUMS, i cannot emagine that any recordings at all are done on to 16 bit machines , my own cicle of collegues moved over to 20 bit recording at least 10 years ago and wouldnot ever go back to cd quality recording for all the tea in china and yorkshie.

just flying a flag .

hi j7 ,
well its just a little idea , i see today in a mag that some company is issuing reel to reel recordings thats the way to go but not for people who have to earn money likes of us , but i bet it sounds good .

prehaps in a small way some other member might look in to taking up the kite and running with it i dont have enough time or technical stuff .

by the by is there a way you can get the chap from burntisland in fife to contact me regarding modding my pa amp with the fanns you we very helpfull but i didnt get his number may be i did but mislaid it .
yes i am ocassionally still using my HH 900 watter with the wick wound down of course ist a mossfett beast and it drives the baby electrostatice great controls that passove bass speaker , but the fans when they kick in scare the cats and make the lights dip.
as with all you customers service was great and i can listen to records again , so thanks very highly recommende to every one .
