I got his most recent album Teo & Tea from a friend. Have you got it? What do you think?

Jarre is a gifted musician but a little repetetive IMO.
Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Luke 6:31)

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” (Matthew 4:17)

I've got most of his earlier stuff on vinyl from Oxygene up to Revolutions. after that I kind of lost track.

a Lot of good stuff, though it's dated a bit with some of the sounds.

I once heard a rumour that he did an album that only 2 copies were pressed and the masters destroyed, as an auctioned charity album, called 'Music for supermarkets'.

    is this an urban legend

and thanks to wiki, it is genuine... one copy was pressed, but much of the material was re-worked subsequently

That's also why I like it, because it's a wee bit dated! Plenty of nice "souvenirs"

Has anyone tried the Aero album. Some of the old classics reworked with a much more modern and cleaner sound. Some new stuff aswell i think, haven't had it on for a while

I have Aero. It's ok but he took a bit of a liberty IMO. Half the tracks are re-releases, albeit done slightly differently. The only one he really reworked was "souvenire from China".

Aye , me too , prolly coz all my albums are old as I haven't done any serious "bingeing" for about 6 weeks.

Wait till T in the Park is over for a mega-fix.

I have to say that Aero in my book was pretty poor. I hate it when a musician decides to add sounds (non music) and only really use them to get an effect over (remember the 5.1 hype) and the actual musical side was pretty poor.

I get the feeling he's sorta lost track musically and living off the past.

I can still remember the very first time I heard this album... I still get that shiver down my back... Not something that happens much these days with so much untalented people out there who just re-hash earlier stuff.

What bugs me is that people buy it!!!
