Ok, not had chance to take any pics today, the light has been bad anyway. Hopefully tomorrow after I've cleared the decks.

At the mo I'm listening to What's Going On on vinyl and the SME with the old M75ED is very sweet sounding. Had to crank up the VTF but that's due to the very light headshell.

The headshell came with seating compound (that word makes me think of Lily the Pink ) anyone used it? I think it's so old it will be impossible to use.

How about a few pics of your new cart prof? Go on go on go on etc.

Default M75ED Type 2 on SME series 2 headshell

A stop gap until my M97 arrives. The M75 is very good with everything in its right place, just lacking fine details. Rather like a good old radiogram.

The geometry work out ok? I always felt the headshell & plastic Knife Edge bearing to be the hurcules heel with the SME 3009 arms.

No a hurcules heel is hairy. (Sh*t that's Samson)

Who has a sme 3009 arm then?

I'm afraid you won't be able to say I told you so Andre, it's fine. Well, not enough out on the overhang to make any difference anyhow.

Boy, you must have led a very sheltered life.

It's spelt that way deliberately to avoid perverts coming here from search sites.

I can vouch that this cartridge sounds absolutely superb. Infact it does what the best hifi equipment does, dissapears. i.e no sonic signature
