Its' a real bargain Eddie. I'm listening to a Marillion comp CD and have fallen in love with Neverland from the Marbles album. I'm going to enjoy this current setup.

The 590ES was collected on Monday, midday and was delivered to a Berlin address today. Good going that.

I've added a UDR-F88 tape deck to my Denon F88 system. It has horizontal loading and auto reverse, which are both new features to me. It works fine and hasn't had much use.

This was an expensive system when new. I just need the UCD-F88 CD player now so if anyone sees one let me know please.

Someone has offered me a 'F88' Mini Disc player but it wasn't part of the four unit set. The manual only contains the four units, not a mini disc player.

The minidisc player may have been a later addition, if you have minidiscs then why not? was it expensive?

I've never owned a mini disc but a matching player is tempting. The seller is going to send me pics on tuesday.

Many thanks to Henry for sorting out the cd player here in this complete stack. It was occasionally reading discs and when it did, it would stop playing mid-track, so I bought a new laser assembly for it but Henry found that part wasn't causing the fault. It was simply the transport mechanism that needed a clean and some lubrication. It's now reading all discs perfectly and sounds very decent too.

At the speaker end is a pair of Tannoy F1 Custom blutacked to a shelf.

The system is all connected as per the manual now so the remote operates all units and I am looking forward to having a choice of three formats to listen to while I do some work in the small bedroom/studio.

It won't be from this range - the F88. There is a matching MD player available, as mentioned in a previous post.

Don't know why but I've got a speaker itch. There's nothing wrong with the set up I have.

I don't really know but I keep watching really old Technics linear phase boxes from the late 70s/early 80s. There's a pair of SB-R3 local to me right now. I hardly switch on the sub these days as the Concept 20s are fine on their own but maybe I crave a fuller range without a sub?
