Default Trying to remember the name of a record

Heard a cd in a shop a while back - it was an import but there were 2 cd's packaged together in quite simple white coloured sleeves. It sounded like a male Mary Gauthier but I'm buggered if I can remember the name of either him or the albums. I had the feeling that the word 'Mercy' appeared somewhere, but I also thought the albums had simple, maybe one word titles.

Anybody any idea - very simple, good music.

its more dum diddy diddy diddy dum dum really but without the cheeriness.

Not Kurt Wagner Scott but thanks for the effort. Meant to write it down and forgot. Sparse acoustic americana with a bit of character.

You are a star - I had the same thought but did it on Amazon.com and couldn't find it. I never go on Amazon.co.uk for some reason other than to buy stuff. Use the .com for all the reviews.

What are you drinking? I'm owe you a pint.

Still don't understand why it didn't bring up the Mercy album.

I got this program called Chazam on my phone which I use to identify tracks with. It works a treat and helped me to catalogue a couple of tracks I ripped off some vinyl without labels.

yeah, Shazam is great for identifying music, but sometimes you gotta be quick - like during adverts or something.

Glad you found what you were after, Mark. I was going to have a wild stab with Johnny Dowd...
