I'm starting to get into Opeth.

I had an Opeth evening last night. I listened to the last 3 albums. They are basically just heavy prog with lots of organ.

If you like that sort of thing then I thoroughly recommend this. No growling - I promise!

I went looking for some of the older Anekdoten LPs this morning but at 30 - 40 an LP I passed.

    Rather good indeed.

I am currently listening to the latest Belbury Circle lp.....very very very 80's odd synthy loveliness with a little John Foxx thrown in for good measure.

I could listen to track 2 all day on repeat.

I have tried Ulrich Schnauss several times but his work doesn't have the same impact on me. He seems to set a rhythm and then it's just a series of chord changes. Boring.

Lol, just realised track 2 is a series of chord changes, but it's played with feeling and atmosphere.

I'd say off all the TD stuff I have (and I have a lot) I love the early stuff best. There is something primal about Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet that I love. After Poland I kind of gave up and had fallen into a big Klaus Schulze black hole.

I like all the Virgin releases, well the ones I have anyway. I'm missing Encore, Thief and Logos (from memory).

I agree with Zygote regarding TD, those three albums are fantastic. Don't have any Klaus Schulze but have just ordered Kontinuum.

Kontinuum is pretty good but I would highly recommend earlier Schulze such as 'X', Mirage, Dune, Timewind, Moondawn, Body Love.

On reissued vinyl, from the archive series. Great, almost live recording. You can place the musicians places in the studio.

This is the Giles Martin stereo remaster. It is outstanding and probably the best remaster from the original tapes I own.
