    12in arms give a tighter sweep across the record than a 9in.

    I've made some enquiries about thin wall titanium tubing and I'm waiting for a response. I think this may be a better alternative to the aluminium tube I've always used though as I see it, from an engineering point of view as well as my gut feeling everything in the energy path should be made from the same stuff. It would be interesting to find out what a combination of different alloys have on the sound of the arm. I'm also thinking about trying duralumin alloy too.

    The main reason I have for wanting to make two more arms, one Linn geometry and one Rega is not just to make a comparison with those arms but also to see how my arm will perform on other turntables. The thought of comparing my arm to the Rega and Linn offerings didn't cross my mind but is a very good observation.
