    Not a recipe chaps but this cracked me up.
    Short extract from the Hairy Bikers Perfect Pies Book.

    Top tip !!. Make sure you cook puff pastry at 220C/Gas mk 7 as the moisture in the dough needs a hot oven to turn into steam and make the pastry layers rise.

    Sausage and Apple Puff. Which i'm about to destroy.

    Pre Heat oven to 200c/Gas mk 6. !!.

    Fookinell make yer minds up lads.

    Byraway in the credits for the book it was proof read, lol.

    I did a rib of beef with yorkies on Boxing Day and it was superb. Followed Huge Fairy-Wozname's meat book recipe and it was spot on.
    20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon

    I did a rib of beef on Christmas Day from a recipe ripped out of a sunday mag (no idea who the cheffie was). Propped it up on diced carrot and onions and erbs. Well chuffed with myself i tell ya. Minor problem now is im beefed out. 5 kilo rib between 2 of us. Made a bit of a rod fer my own back so bugger it ,going away next yr.

    Lol. In a yrs time i may be in the same boat. As much as i love beef im sick of the bloody site of it, so a big lump has been lobbed in the freezer.
    Sausage and apple puff was a success, phew. First time ive tried 'knocking up' the edge of the pastry. All fingers intact and twas almost a shame to cut it up to eat, well chuffed i was with the result.
