Smile help battery power for portable recording rig

I would like to get if possible a basic recording rig running of batteries, I haven't a clue how to start , I sort of understand I need a inverteor, but I don't actually understand how these things go

so what I would like is a compact thing to plug a small mixer in aertor and also a mini disk deck ,

I did notice a reduced 20 invertor at maplins but what about batteries etc , It only needs a couple of hours power

maybe 4 hours two fo r a rehearsal and the same for the concert .

an links to find bits welcome, or maybe someone has a unit for sale .

    thanks

Hi jb, I worked with invertors a lot on boats. They use a lot of current - around 20A from a 12v supply to produce a couple of hundred watts at 240v.

Unless you can lug a small car battery around.......
