So Amazon deliver on a Sunday? According to several emails they do. My arse they don't and I've stayed in all day in case.

I was wrong - items have arrived via a white van man.

Sod's law dictates that had you gone out in the morning you would have missed an earlier delivery.

I do feel for the delivery drivers at this time of year though, having dealt with them over the last few years, it's a thankless task they have, bosses never happy, those sending goods never happy, and those receiving them never happy.

Merry Xmas to all our delivery drivers, warehouse staff and post office workers, they deserve a pat on the back for remaining cheery, and let's face it 98% of the stuff gets delivered on time and in one piece.

They'd normally be delivered by Royal Mail. This was a plain white van so extra work for some. Watching the documentary on Amazon's warehouse practices I feel for the employees but at least their customers are kept happy eh.

Today's the last delivery day, thank God, so here's hoping you all got what you sent for. May I wish you all a Merry Crymbal and a Happy New Beer. Catch you all next year.

That In Utero 3LP anniversary set I managed to ruin just sold for 28.66 so I've almost recouped the cost of replacing it. It's off to Leeds.

'No One To Receive Card Left' says Yodel's tracking info, so parcel returned to delivery depot. Funny that considering I've stayed in all f'ing day and no one came and no card has been left. Cnuts. Now I bet they won't redeliver on a Saturday. The parcel is two new phones from Virgin - Alison's packed up two days ago and we were overdue an upgrade on our contract phones.

Ha, me too yesterday, although by a different courier, despite notes on both the consignment AND the front door giving the delivery driver alternatives for leaving the package. AR**hole!!!

Lol, that is so true. The Yodel tracking now says out for delivery (again) at 09:23 and it's coming from Lichfield (about 21 miles away) so lots to go wrong there. When he/she gets here they face the challenge of finding the right house. Ooh it's a saga.

Patience Gary, patience....!! Yodel, more than any other from my experience, use local individual contractors for distribution and can appear at your door at curious times of the day. However, I'd be feeling the same as you right now and thinking "oh no, not again!".

Coincidentally, I had Yodel at my door today, but not with the stuff that was returned yesterday (by TNT).....
