    Blimey that's going back a bit. I have since acquired a few more Infected Mushroom albums. They all have a similar flavour. Haven't bought one for a while though. In fact I haven't even listened fully to the last one i bought which was an LP. It''s not to everyone's taste i would imagine though.

    Ahhhh Didn't look at the date. It just came up in the feed.
    Saw IM at a Total Eclipse Festival in Turkey 2006. They were surprisingly punk and live. Still never got round to buying an album. Needed a few years to recover from 7 days of Psychedelic Trance.

    The bass went like: D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd, D-ddd
    Some went like: Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd, Dum-dd
    Or: Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem, Dup-Dem

    Pitched Sine Wave Kick plus pastiche of Novelty Noises put through Multi-Tap Delay or Eventide on a great day.

    nice set of things there ,
    i have the mingus tribute on cd it sounds fooooking terrible, but i should think the record on your big rig sounds great , the cd does have a good amount of studio compression as well as it seems also pre production compression , ]]

    hope you are well and shop is still going strong

    Lucinda Williams - West (re discussion in th e Americana bit: these 2 are highly recommended);

    Eric Gales - Crystal Vision;

    Prefab Sprout - Steve McQueen (the re-mastered re-issue);

    Five Hand Reel - the 3 albums from the Dick Gaughan days on a 2CD set;

    Isobel Cambell - Milkwhite Sheets;

    Walton Viola Concerto & some Rubbra/Power, BBC Scottish SO, Volkov;

    Ashley Wass - Frank Bridge Piano Sonata etc;

    Paul Tortelier - Bach Cello Suites.

    Oh, and a Dick Gaughan compilation CD...

    And some Peter Gabriel SACDs on order from WOMAD...

    I was just listening to Mark Lamarrs "God's Jukebox" radio 2 show (very good by the way) and I heard a track from a '97(?) album by Elmo Williams & Hezakiah Early called "Takes One to Know One". It was stunning! So I just ordered a still sealed vinyl copy from the US . God damn t'Interweb....no wonder I'm constantly broke....

    Anyway, there's only two of them drums/guitars playing some fiery rough n ready blues! Sort of like Black Keys I suppose but much earthier, grittier....and better!
