    From House of Mythology:

    KKKMO - KKKMO
    Laniakea - Laniakea
    Stian Westerhus - Stian Westerhus
    ULVER - Riverhead O.S.T

Shipped 8 days ago....it would seem Royal mail have eaten them. Beggars belief that when a company charges £10 shipping they don't send Next day signed for insured....I know I do!

    Also from What records:

    ULVER - NORWEGIAN NATIONAL OPERA
DHAFER YOUSSEF - DIWAN OF BEAUTY AND ODD
Return To Ommadawn - Mike Oldfield

Quick dispatch and well packed....no Dhafer Youssef (new Release whatever that means)....Oldfield had to be returned due to pressing fault! Ulver is ace.

Oh the joys of buying vinyl today!

Picked up Meddle today. Fingers crossed they'll get Atom Heart Mother too.
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon

Buying records from Sainsburys reminds me of the different outlets for mainly singles back in the day.

Purchased three cd's in the past week but the stand out one for me is 'Ulrich Schnauss & Mark Peters - Underrated Silence'.

Twin Peaks - Fire Walk with Me OST .......on it's way back as it sounds like it was pressed using sandpaper!
Bowie - Station to Station ....sublime

    Ordered today:
Ulver - The Assassination of Julius Caesar
Laniakea - A pot of powdered nettles
The Stargazers Assistant - Remoteness of light

    Arrived today from What Records
Oldfield - Return to Ommadawn....this was a replacement for a messy pressy! I'm also waiting for the latest Dhafer Youssef from Tim at What and although he has my money he seems to be in no rush to get this record out to me!

Got these two; Passage is particularly great.

Were all these vinyl purchases, simply because I'm interested in both the Ulrich Schnauss ones, but they just seem so expensive (probably just me being a tight wad). Not only that my brother who shares the same taste in music as me does not own a vinyl system so cannot listen to them.

    Bob Marley - Legends

ELO - All Over The World (Double)

All From Sainsburrys in Lincoln. Long live the vinyl revival.

Marley always sounded better on vinyl, Kaya on lp had real bass.

Hibernation is now over so my latest are -
    Calexico - Spiritoso
    XX - I see you
    Elbow - Little Fictions

Just not getting into the new Elbow release though, maybe it'll grow on me...

Good choices. Why do they have RSD at the end of a month? I'm skint!

Aha it's been hectic here and there are a few that I've not played yet, are on their way or were digitally downloaded and now I've forgotten what they are as I've not rescanned the library. I'm getting old lol. Played a few of the Kraftwerk lps this eve....shockingly good!

The Unthanks whilst beautiful music is a very very badly pressed and noisy record....even after hoovering it!

    Purchased with my Amazon vouchers....

Back to black edition of Love Over Gold to replace my scratchy copy. It sounds a bit edgy in the midrange. It's not my system as most other records sound fine. Certainly a bit more detail than the old one but just a little hard sounding.

Also bought Tour De France, High by the Blue Nile (on CD), Stevie Nicks 24 carat gold, Songs from the Vault. and Dire Straits first album which i didn't have on vinyl.
Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Luke 6:31)

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” (Matthew 4:17)

    SPLHCB.JPG

Always been a fan, so had to procure both the CD / DVD Anniversary box set of SPLHCB. . AND the Giles Martin Anniversary remaster on vinyl. (curiosity to see what he's done with it).

Both beautifully presented and the book that accompanies the box set is a piece of art in itself.

Haven't had time to to play anything yet, so fairly excited about getting stuck in at the weekend.
