    Default Kraftwerk

I only have Man Machine on CD and enjoy listening to it in the car (especially at night) so this is a band possibly worth catching up on. All the albums were reissued on vinyl in 2009. Anyone got them or some?

    I have Autobahn - natch.

I also have the live boxset on vinyl - Maximum Minimum. Its a belter of a recording and I don't feel like I need any of the others.

I had to look up what 'natch' meant. I'm obviously not with it.

I heard part of MinMax on vinyl when it came out - at a wigwam based bakeoff. I imagine it's very expensive to buy on vinyl now, if still available. It's a greatest hits played live so it's a shame not to have the albums for all the other tracks.

Kraftwerk were a very strange bunch by all accounts. They only allowed phone calls in the studio at break times and even then wouldn't allow the phone to ring, so people had to phone at a very precise time so that they'd be on the line when one of the band picked the receiver up.

Haha. They asked New Order how they achieved their drum sound on Blue Monday. They were told but said 'no, we want the formula!'
