Default PG first 4 albums half speed remastered 45 rpm 2LP

This is similar to what classic records did a while back. I bought those but sold them all soon after.

I quite like the thought of Intruder and No Self Control in German.

They may sound quite sinister; a bit like Ramstein!
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon

The Classic Records 45 rpm 200g 4LP box sets (Clarity Vinyl) go for silly money now. I can't see them being any better than these new 2LP issues.

I hate these multi disk 45rpm remasters. Like I've got nothing better to do than change records. Half the time it's like my arse hasn't hit the seat before it's clicking away again. Someone is taking the piss IMO.

I may preorder the bundle from the peter gabriel site. Otherwise it's 25 a pop on Amacon or 23 from his site store.

Oh and if anyone wants a copy of PG's Up album on vinyl (Classic Records release) without spending really silly money, I spotted one on Amazon marketplace for 85.00, which isn't too bad considering the normal asking prices.

Well, that info was tweeted 15 minutes ago by the man himself. Something about a manufacturing delay.

Thanks for that James, it should appear on fb shortly. I've treated myself to the 4 LP bundle. Much cheaper than buying them separately but I guess Amazon marketplace sellers will offer them cheaper, until they all run out and then they'll get stupidly expensive. I'm not sure how much more PG and Real World Records can milk his back catalogue.

Just ordered PG 1. My copy is knackered.

Was toying with the idea of getting all four but my copy of 2 and 3 are ok. I Know they will probably be an investment but i don't intend to buy them then sell them when they reach silly money.

What Eddie, you don't want to think you've got a duff pressing, realise they're 45 rpm and then get up to change the side every ten minutes?

I had the equivalent Classic Records releases of these and sold them on but these I'll keep.

Ha ha. I've already got Fleetwood Mac Rumours on 45rpm double vinyl so it doesn't bother me getting up every 10 minutes (i need the exercise anyway ) .

I've learnt my lesson regarding being too rash to judge a bad record but my copy of PG 1 is knackered. I bought it in a charity shop and under a magnifying glass you can see loads of grit in the groove which i reckon even cleaning won't get out. Its virtually unplayable as a result. Looked on ebay for another copy but for a half decent one they are asking about 15 so i figured i might as well just pay 21.99 to guarantee a good pressing.

Sounds like a common theme these days, what with Roger W's ATD taking so long to get out and apparently Dave Gilmour stood up at the beginning of his gig last week and apologised for a forthcoming delay with the issue of his new album too.

Amazon are on the ball; they've changed the PG albums release date to the 16th.
