    If Malcolm has'nt loaned you a phono stage, I have a dirt cheap MF stage you are welcome to borrow for a week or two, just let me know.
    Just in the process of researching mono carts now...... trying to gain lots of info and weigh up my options.... although I think the AT 33 Mono could be a favourable contender.

    BTW, it's not the phono stage that's causing me grief just now (fortunately) and subsequently wasn't looking for a 'borrow' of one o' them. Thanks anyway A, I also have one of the MF phono stages and a MM/MC Ear Yoshino 834.

    However, by coincidence, when I got the 401 up and running, I played about four or five sides and the Primo gave up the ghost on one channel, so it's off back to MF for a repair / service.

    Incidentally, if anyone has some experience and useful advice on mono carts, I'd be happy to hear your views.
