Smile professional audio , stuff any help appreciated

so hello guys I am again in hear, I know , but again stumped, so I have a old Yamaha 01v digital mixer, and I would like to try to make the thing run remotely etc,i know it can be done, but I haven't a clue what to even type in the box to look at it, so I think I pretty much a way to get the midi which speakes to the desk from the desk in to something to make wifi , I have seen a m audio box for 70 pounds, and I believe the softwear is available from the Yamaha site, but can it be done for less, in a efficient way, but also I wonder if I can hook it u to my Samsung tablet, or run some sort of extension , wifi thingy to use a ipad mini I can get use of , I had wondered about a phone but there still about 50 pounds to run this sort of thing on , hoping I might be able to use this to use atwork for a charity bands night I would like to run, and not have to cart around a huge big multicore, with me , just have itall in some sort of compact bag or box, sort of thing. even just running a Ethernet single cable to the end of the hall is better than running a big multicore cable , etc, . but I know its secialised, but may be some one in hear has friends in the trade or knows a musician who is up on these things, happy to hear from them by pm , or ring me etc, just looking for advice,

thank you guys and girls, jb .

Hi Ritchie. The last time you posted with some questions I asked my daughter's boyfriend who is a musician. He would never use wifi for anything to do with recording and mixing etc.

he's a bit behind the times then. There's a lot of people using apps to remote control their desks via iPads. as long as router is a good quality one, and the password strong it's a no brainer. it means the desk no longer has to be at the back of the hall.
That said with digital multicores now, all that's required is a cat 6e cable from the stage snake to the desk.
